Head designer, Heather Pittmon is heavily involved in the community, providing summer fashion programs to at risk teen girls. Ms. Pittmon also makes it a priority to reach out to up and coming artists in the community, providing them with the necessary resources to take the next step in their careers. The GREEN DRESS is also our hallmark design feature to remain environmentally conscious by utilizing recycled fabrics and materials. Our Passion
This passionate Indianapolis, Indiana native is a graduate of the International Academy of Design & Technology-Tampa. After 13 years of fashion show production and styling with clients such as Badgley Mischka, Serena Williams, Iman, Twiggy, and Tina Knowles, her passion for designing & bridalwear outweighed everything else. While dreaming of her own wedding, she could not find anything that was fresh, unique in a variety of colors, and non-traditional. After repeated interactions with amazing women that dressed by what society and tradition expected rather than who they really were, the lights came on. And Something Blu was born.
